MetLife LTC to Implement a Policy Exchange Offer for California VIP2 Policyholders

pdfMetLife LTC will be offering VIP2 and VIP2 California Partnership (CAP) policyholders who were issued coverage in the state of California the opportunity to exchange their coverage to MetLife’s newest product offering, MetLife LTC LifeStage AdvantageSM. The exchange is being made per CA regulations, which require that existing policyholders be informed of and given the opportunity to exchange their current coverage to their carrier’s newer product offerings, if these were not available at the time of original application.

    Eligible Policyholders

  • VIP2 and VIP2 CAP policyholders who were issued coverage in the state of CA with an application date prior to May 3, 2010.
  • Eligible policyholders must be age 84 or younger as of June 1, 2011, and may not be currently receiving benefits or within the elimination period under their existing policy. In addition, the existing policy must be inforce as of the date of the policyholder mailing with premiums paid to date.
  • VIP2 and VIP2 CAP policyholders in CA who applied for coverage on May 3, 2010 and after will not be offered the exchange, as LifeStage Advantage was available in CA at that time.
